Re: My Son is Loves his Colt

The first pistol I ever pulled a trigger on was an old 1911a1 Gov't issue when I was in USMC boot camp. It would have been nice to have one of these beauties back then, my training time would have...

Re: How to customize your 1911 grips

Beautiful color with nice grain. The 2nd Amendment is a nice touch. As always, more good work by Carl. What would we do without you?

Re: Pic's of your 1911's

Thanks Ozo, I really like how those grips turned out, I got a lot of compliments at the range last week. I talked with Carl (several emails actually) today and he will be making another set of grips...

Re: What would be my best 1911 option for $450-550?

Great looking collection Dan, I can see that my collection has a long way to go. My favorite for shooting or carrying is still my old Colt Series '70 in a Milt Sparks Yaque Slide. I have had that...

Re: Colt Mustang ?

Believe me, I do understand. I also know the value of good magazines and I recognize a good deal when I see it. I just paid $42.95 each for 2 magazines and would have bought more if he had had them...

Re: Colt Mustang ?

I took my NIB P238 to the range with me Saturday when I was trying out my newly built 1911. I had not shot either pistol yet so I took the opportunity to shoot both of them. Both were flawless. I...

Re: Pic's of your 1911's

For anyone interested here is an update. It appears that I put things together in their proper order. I took my new treasure to the range and fired 10 rounds at the 7 yard line to get a grouping...

Congrats, great looking STI. Now go have fun shooting it.

Re: How many

Got my fourth for Christmas and my wife has two. I got hooked in the Marines and have never looked back. 100 years of service makes you think it may be as close to a perfect design as humans can get.

Re: Pic's of your 1911's

This has been my "work-horse" since the late 70's. I have shot many thousands of all kinds of ammo through her and she still goes bang when I pull the trigger.

Re: Got'er Done

Makes me even more impatient. My frame is at Briley's and will not be ready until after Christmas. I am having them fit their frame to a Caspian slide. Then I will get to work on it myself. I will...
