Re: Shotfun misfires (FTF) with primer dent

Re: Shotfun misfires (FTF) with primer dent

Excellent!!

Other than difficulty getting the slide far enough to clear the receiver, I can disassemble.

I wonder if a loose tube would cause my issue? I will be sure it is tight for the next...

Re: Shotfun misfires (FTF) with primer dent

It is a 620a model. Recently checked and cleaned by a gunsmith. (Handed down to me, so I wanted it checked).

I am new to guns, so I don't know how to disassemble to the firing pin. Would I need to...

Shotfun misfires (FTF) with primer dent

I just finished shooting a box of Federal Game load shells with about a 50% failure rate. (Stevens 16 gauge)

I tried the duds a second time, and most fired on the second attempt.

Looking at the...

I have a hand me down Stevens 620a 16 gauge shotgun. (First shotgun for me) Other shotguns load by just pushing shells against the lifter and into the magazine. The shell is captured and does not...

Re: Handed down S&W .38 sp revolver

I confirmed that this was a recovered gun that was re-serialized by ATF, and alas, it was not my grandfathers gun.

I like it anyway, and will continue to use it.

Re: Handed down S&W .38 sp revolver

I am wondering if the police dept may have sent a batch of confiscated handguns (that had serial numbers removed) to the ATF to get re-serialized so the guns could go back into use? I have no idea if...

Re: Use Serial number to determine Chiefs special age ?

One reason is to help determine if I can use +P ammo. It is not clear to me whether the older versions will handle the higher power rounds. Of course, I could only use the lower power rounds with no...

Re: Use Serial number to determine Chiefs special age ?

Would I contact the BATFE to learn when the serial number was assigned? I went to their home page, but did not see anything about serial numbers.

Is there a way to get a ballpark age from the...

Hello all - first posting

While I have fired different weapons over the years, I have never owned one until recently. I was just handed down a revolver that was my grandfather's. As best as I can...
