I have a S&W 686 with a 4" barrel for 26 years now and still enjoy shooting 357 rounds or 38 specials to save a few pennies. A 9mm may be a good choice too.

I love the 500's !!

I've had my snub nose S&W 500 for a few years now and always get a kick when I shoot it at the indoor range, talk about everybody stopping what there doing with a funny look...
