Re: Homemade Pistol???
Just to clarify. The hammer is not the lock. The lock consists of the flat plate the hammer is mounted to (lock plate)and all the internal works attached to the plate.

Re: Pietta 1858 45 long colt conversion
I would use .452 cast lead bullets. You can't overload a steel frame bp revolver with Pyrodex and you won't get but around 37 grains by volume in a .45 Colt case. If this is a fairly new Pietta it...

No. They were imported by FIE for a number of years under several different names and serial numbers didn't have any meaning. After the GCA of 68 FIE imported the parts and assembled them here to get...

Re: Need help identifying this gun
Not hardly, not with a full octagonal barrel. The hammer and lock escutcheons are off an Enfield rifled musket. The trigger guard is way to rough to have been an original and is a dead ringer for a...

Re: Need advise on restoring LC Smith
First off an L.C. Smith isn't some Belgian knockoff. They were high quality guns and it will still have some collector value even if the barrels are damascus. Second, are you sure the barrels are...

Re: New toy
Pedersoli's do have smaller bores. I suppose most any .54 bullet would work but the Sharps Ringtail would be easier to work with. Moose Molds makes a 544-480 double cavity for 125.00

Re: Help with identification of gun
You might get 75.00 bucks by parting it out and selling them on ebay. You can't sell the frame there and nobody fixing up one would want the grips or barrel. So basically the cylinder, hammer/trigger...

Re: Help with identification of gun
38-200 was the British version of the .38 S&W.
It looks to me as if it were heavily brushed on a wire wheel. I would imagine the markings got gone at that time.

Re: Riverside Arms 315 16ga SxS
No.
With the barrels cut down I doubt you'd get much over 100 for it. Unless it was NIB I don't see one going for more than 300 in excellent shape.
Maybe on the 12 and that's a strong...

Re: Project pistol I just picked up
If you're getting cap jams tip the muzzle up and to the right a tad while cocking and fragments most times will fall on the ground instead of in the works.
