Re: Ok, which HANDGUN goes in the "Daypack?"

I would be carrying my 1911 on my hip. In the daypack I would put my .22 revolver. I always have my 1911, so I would carry the .22 for a smaller, lighter round.

Re: AK (762x39) vs. AR/M-16 (.223 / 5.56)

I have decided to go with 7.62x39. I voted for the AK but, I carry an SKS-D.
AK mags are almost indestructable. All I have are 30 rounders. I got rid of my AR a few months ago because .223 ammo is...

Springfield 1911A1, 5" barrel. Every day, in the pants holster from Ross Leather. I wear a BDU camo shirt, mainly for the pockets, and it covers the gun with no problem. I carry it all year long.

Re: Value of a PPS-50?

A local dealer/smith has one with only a 30 round mag for $325. It is in good shape. The one I had 15 years ago I bought new for $175, with a 50 round drum. That rifle was fun to shoot.

Re: Charles Daly

Any and all parts that fit a standard 1911 will fit the Charles Daly. They are well made pistols. You will have to do some minor fitting, just like any other 1911. Good Luck.
