Thanks for the help. I bought the gun as a shooter and it does that very well so I would rather have a gun with a new barrel than a "correct" orginal one thats been shot out. I love surplus guns!

Close, same grips sewrial number a bit forward. I think the giveaway in the electric pencil etched serial number on the barrel. Your thoughts?

I just got a model 57 Yugo from Dan's Sporting goods. it's in great shape. I believe a very early gun. Serial number is 04XX with no letter prefix. As near as I can tell the safety was retro fitted...
