Re: To those of you who weigh every charge

Re: Rossi 92 .44 Mag Loads?

Use of beveled base bullets of hard alloys may be you the root of your leading issue, especially if they are less than bore diameter. Their hardness keeps them from obturating at moderate pressure...

Re: Browning BLR

They are a lever action in any sense of the word. There is no one designated form or locking system for "true lever actions". The BLR's Practical accuracy is equal or superior to most stock...

Re: Clean Brass

Your keyholing is a problem with the load, not the brass. Under no circumstance could the brass condition create keyholing.

Re: XTREME PLATED BULLETS

You can push the Xtremes to velocities equal to plain based hard cast bullets. I have run them to 1400fps in one of my carbines, for many rounds, with accuracy of about 2" at 75 yards and far more...

Re: Which Press?

Look to the Lee Classic Cast Turret. I think you will be very pleased. It is a far more versatile press than the Lyman and RCBS. I have used all three. I only kept the Lee.

Re: M1A vs AK-47

Silly Army. For the same money they could have just gotten the LMT MWS .308 just like the Brits did, but you're right, this is a government project. Its better to spend $3000 ea on a 45 year old...

Re: Remington Model 14C opinions/advice

The .35 will be the easiest to sell. The cartridge lifter is the most common problem that I've seen. Its definitely worth the money to repair it.

Re: Powder reservoir

The etching is from the solvents used in powder production. Flake powders seem to be the worst offenders with tubular are a distant second. Sphericals don't seem to be a problem.

Re: .243 or .308?

Round nosed bullet? Topic is .308 (7.62mm), not .30-30. Inside 400 yards (a more realistic ability of most shooters) the difference between cartidges is nil with any advantage going to .308 for its...

Re: Colt Police Positive 32-20 WCF, rare find

With its age, metalurgy and size, avoid rifle type loads in these small Colts. Factory jacketed bullets can, and often do, stick in pistol barrels from excessive friction. Lead bulleted factory and...
