Re: Mak-90 stock

As long as the part is US made I see no reason it wouldn't. I had to do a little shaping to get the fit I wanted when I replaced the stock on my Mak. I have a couple different sets of furniture but...

Re: Mak-90 stock

Mak-90 receivers can be straight cut or slant cut. The straight cut has lots of stock options available - the slant cut not so much.

Re: Starter 1911 at a reasonable price, RIA hi-cap?

The big difference between Rock Islands and other makes (such as Springer), is that the RIA uses cast frames & slides and some other makes are forged. Does this make a difference? Sure, but it...

Re: reliability?? fullsize 9 or 3 inch 45

Impossible to answer without looking at specific guns. I have a Colt Defender and it's 100% reliable. I also have a Taurus 9mm 1911 and once I fixed a few small issues it's 100% reliable as well. ...

Re: Starter 1911 at a reasonable price, RIA hi-cap?

Nothing at all wrong with the PI built 1911s. I've owned a number of them and they all ran well. There are differences in the fit & finish but for the most part they are all solid well built guns. ...

Re: Pic's of your 1911's

The most unique one I have. It's a Caspian slide on a Foster frame, professionally ported, quality internals, and Gun-Koted in OD green & black. This one is a fabulous shooter - probably the best I...

Re: Another one

They are solid guns but tend to have small issues - most of which are easily fixed. In the past 2 months I have personally seen extractors fail on 2 PT 1911s in .45 and both had low round counts. ...

Springer will sell you their Mil_Spec 3 dot sights which are a drop in replacement for the tiny GI sights for around $30 or so. Sadly, painting the GI sights isn't very effective as they are just to...
