They ship the gun to a local FFL and you pick it up there after filling out the form and they do the background...

You didn't tell us what the weapon's primary use will be. I carry a Bersa thunder UC Pro
that shoots well and fits the hand well. It is not a "high end" but I consider it very high
quality....
