Bought my first hand gun

My father had a Walther PPK .22, the James Bond gun that he got from a friend of his at Los Alamos back in 1967 prior to going to Vietnam. Last year, my father passed his PPK to me. During all the...

Re: Hand gun for self defense and home protection

Re: Fired handguns for the first time

Re: Fired handguns for the first time

I love the 1911, but I heard that it is also very expensive, something in the range of being closer to $2000. I have not been to a gun shop yet to find out for sure, but if what I heard is true,...

I have to laugh at what you said because it is SO TRUE! I showed my wife your post and she had a good laugh as well. Considering that our friend ex-husband was and still a military man (I didn't...

Re: Hand gun for self defense and home protection

Alpo, thanks for your quick reply. Would a 38 or 380 be better than a 45 and not have as much of a kick? I saw something that mentioned a 40? My fear with the 45 is that it has such a high kick...

Several years ago when the movie, The Ring, first released in the theatre. ...

Hand gun for self defense and home protection

Aside from the Walther PPK .22 that I inherited from my father, I've never owned a hand gun before. I enjoy it because it is light, easy to shoot, and fits comfortably in my small hands. I went to...

I have a Walther PPK .22 that I inherited from my father. My wife is totally against the idea of having a gun in the house because of horror stories of how so many kids shot themselves when the...
