Thanks LR! I really like how it turned out! I never expected it to come out like it did. It looks like a cherry finish. I agree on the ugly factory finish, Which is what persuaded me to refinish it....

Yeah I see they made them in 410ga, And 16ga! The 410's & 16's seem to be more scarce. The 311's are definately a rugged well built shotgun. Not to mention they are american made and built to last....

Yeah the Henry is truly outstanding. It's my favorite 22lr I own. I enjoyed my Ruger 10/22 for the time being, But I prefer manual Reloading rifles. I've already put two 500 round boxes through it...

I used Paint & Stain remover for mine. I prefer the Zip-Strip brand. Its in a black and yellow can and it works super good. All you do is apply it with a brush and let it sit for about 15 minutes....
