Re: 7x57mm loads for a rolling block?
Are you willing to bet your life on your opinions of this rifle? I would get it to a good gunsmith and have them look it over and get their opinion on the loads you want to shoot.

Getting started with a turret press will make your life a nightmare. You should get the basic principals down before you tackle the turret. Any makers single stage press will work well for you. I...

Re: Purchasing a 1911
Many other manufacturers make 1911. I just bought a Kimber Custom II and this is a look-a-like. Remington, S&W, Ruger, Taurus, and Springfield, among others make 1911's. Many to choose from.

Re: Kimber Custom II questions
I look for the wear marks on the barrel and slide. If there are much wear on the slide, you know it has been used a lot. This is like buying a used car. You look past the "Looks" of the gun.

Re: Kimber Custom II questions
It is a used gun. I will look carefully to see how many rounds have cycled through the gun. I have enough rounds (230 gr JHP) to break it in if necessary.

Re: 243 Loads anyone?
You had better get a reloading manual or two. Searching the internet, for loading information, is going to be deadly for you. Never trust any loads off of the internet.

I was thinking the same thing. I had this problem with my Glock 19, years ago. I very quickly learned to hold the pistol FIRMLY, and no jambs or failures to clear.

Sorry for the above incorrect post. This gun was developed by Max Atchinson in around 2004 and is not Russian. It was made here in the USA. Still a cool shotgun!
