If you have a dial caliper, you can measure the pilot vs the case neck diam. but you could also measure the cases and see if they even need to be trimmed.
Have you tried seating a bullet in a case...

+1, turning necks is something I do only if I absolutely have to, such as forming one case out of another, like making 243 out 308. It take a very accurate rifle to make this labor pay off.
