Another possibility is that the firing pin channel either was dirty or has burrs, that could also cause the FP to stick forward. It's take a good long look at the slide before putting new parts in....

I have lots of 30 round mags, but I find the 20 round ones are much more convenient for the range. I keep a few 30's loaded for any SHTF scenarios, and use the 20's at the range. :D
