Opinions on Blackhawk/Knoxx shotgun stock

I have plenty of 12 gauge shotguns (hunting) - mostly Brownings. Recently, I was offered a Remington 870 Express Mag in a trade for an H&R single shot rifle. Now I have MORE 12 gauge shotguns.

Re: ANYONE HAVE OPINIONS ON H&R ULTRA SLUG?

Pros:
Fairly inexpensive.
Tight lockup.
Nice laminated wood options - I like the thumbhole version.

Cons:
H&R's customer service sucks lately. I used to really like H&R... but as of late,...

Re: ANYONE HAVE OPINIONS ON H&R ULTRA SLUG?

Is that his claim, or have you actually laid eyes on that? Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'd have to see that in person to believe it. A "quarter" covering all three holes would mean he...

Re: Your opinion on Kidd Barrel

I haven't heard of Kidd barrels, but then again, I'm fairly new to 10/22 customizing. I just purchased my first - a Green Mountain SS Fluted 18". I really like it and it goes well with my stainless...

Re: How "practical" is a .40 cal AR-15?

The practicality question comes into play for this reason -

Pro: I believe it is practical, due to the fact that I already shoot .40 in several handguns.
Pro: I've loved the caliber in a handgun...

How "practical" is a .40 cal AR-15?

Never really had a strong desire to purchase an AR-15 before. A couple of fleeting moments, and then a change of heart - but I never really had a reason that I could justify owning one.

... until...

Re: Democrats Give Wilson Ultimatum: Apology or Punishment

So it was ok for Democrats to "boo and heckle" Bush at the 2005 State of the Union Address, but it's not ok when a Republican calls Obama a liar? If we are going to punish him, then all involved in...

Re: Question about my new (to me) Browning BPS

Called Browning this morning to confirm - they didn't make a 2 3/4" BPS Hunter in 1993 - only 3" or 3 1/2". I'm safe with what I have.

Thanks for the replies.
All the best,
Glenn

Re: Question about my new (to me) Browning BPS

I guess I'll just call Browning. I was hoping someone on here could shed some light on the subject.

Question about my new (to me) Browning BPS

I just bought the shotgun I've always wanted - a Browning BPS 12 gauge. I've wanted one of these since the first time I've picked one up, but the price tag always made me put them back down and buy...

Good little .22... but I missed the name

This weekend, I took a Firearms Safety Course (3rd time in 40 years of living). Great course - taught by some fine folks on Camp Bullis Army Base. They had a practical woods course, as well as a...

Re: Remington 552

I have one and it is my all-time favorite .22 auto. Years ago, I started having problems with it, that Remington couldn't figure out. The action does not close completely from time to time, but the...

Re: How many of you use dental tools to aid in weapon cleaning?

Good idea. I might have to get some.

The reverse could work as well. I was born and raised in southern Louisiana. I've seen some Cajuns with big enough gaps between their missing teeth that...

Re: H&R Topper 58 questions

Well, I bought her home. Nice little gun, and I do mean "little". She's a short sucker, but should be at home in a blind and tight spots. The previous owner changed the stock and forearm to brand...

Re: H&R Topper 58 questions

Bill,
Thank you very much. I appreciate the return PM's and all the info. When I googled H&R model 58, several of your posts on this site came up, helping people out. That was my main reason for...

Re: H&R Topper 58 questions

Thanks army mp. I appreciate the replies. Good point on the price of factory ammo - basically, I'm getting the gun for $110. Can't pass that up. Heck, most shotguns, including single shots, cost...

Re: H&R Topper 58 questions

Well, I got ahold of H&R today. Kind of short with me. 1984 manufacturer - no barrels available. "I'd be suprised if you can find any barrels for that one". Can't help me further. End of...

Re: H&R Topper 58 questions

I've owned H&R singles before, but always shotguns - never the rifles. I have been trying to get my hands on a good deal on a Handi-Rifle so that I can swap out barrels and get the ones I want, but...

Anyone?

I have a couple hours left before I buy this gun this afternoon. I was really hoping for some insight before I gave him my money.

Thanks in advance,
