I can tell you it was made by Uberti in Italy, but don't understand why it would have Iver Johnson on it unless it was made for Iver Johnson by Uberti.

I guess I wasn't very clear. My bad. When I said cap & balls, I was refering to a black powder revolver like the Colt Navy, not a caplock rifle. Sorry for any confusion.

A matched pair of Remington 1875 revolvers in 44-40 with genuine 44-40 bores (not using a 44 Mag barrel). Or does a matched pair count as two? If so, I'll settle for just one pair.

Didn't get to shoot it, but I've held an original Remington 1866 cap & ball revolving rifle in 36. Impressed me enough that I went out and bought the Uberti copy in 44. It's a hoot to shoot. ;)

I've used a cast iron pot on a wood fire out in the yard and it worked pretty well for both ingots and casting bullets. Just make sure you've got a good bunch of coals going.

I only reload for a couple of calibers (44-40 and 357) and use the Lee turret press. I've got a turret for each caliber and once I'd set them up all I have to do now to change calibers is swap out...
