National Right to Carry passes House

I just read on foxnews.com that National Right to Carry has passed the house by a vote of 272-154. We slightly missed the super majority to avoid a veto, but still good news. Go check out foxnews for...

Re: The Occupy Movement

The OWS movement was started by the reformed ACORN movement. What you see in this clip is a rant. The Wall Street banks did not want bailout money and voted against Quantitative Easing. The Fed...

Re: I goofed, need advice

It really depends on hot much powder or how close to max you are. If you are loading hot, I would be cautious. If you are on the lower end or towards the middle of a load recipe, you would be fine.

Re: Let's add a "Survival Board"

Instead of calling it a survival board, call it a tactical board. Subjects would be more wide ranging and also include survival.

Re: Sharpening

The best sharpening system I've tried is the Gatco system. Really foolproof and does multiple angles for different usages. As for razor sharp, again, it depends on the application. Too much angle and...

Re: Primer Differences

Thanks everyone for all the comments, really great. I do stay with one primer brand when I reload. Normally CCI. I don't mix and match with batches although I may do a test with different brands...

Re: Primer Differences

LD, I do remember the Article from the 90s but unfortunately not the conclusions. I agree that all handloads should start with the lowest powder charge listed and work up from there.
I appreciate...

Re: How many deer tags do you get?

In new jersey we get pretty much unlimited does with bow shotgun and muzzleloader. There are varies tags and permits required. I believe we can take 6 bucks throughout the seasons if all the permits...

Re: Very light rust on satin finish.

I use mdl rust inhibitor with 0000 steel wool. Rub lightly! I had a similar issue on my smith 645 stainless in the brushed satin area only. Works perfectly. If you don't have mdl use a penetrating...

I read that flat based bullets are more stable at shorter distances than Boat tails. I can't remember where I read it, but the basis of the discussion was that boat tails take longer to stabilize in...

Re: Best long range rifle under a grand

Rommelvon, I agree with a few of the other members in recommending the Savage rifles. Be sure the model you choose has both the accu-stock and accu-trigger. I now have 2 Savages and my friend bought...

Love the 300 win mag in rifle and 45 ACP in handgun. With the 300 I feel like I can hunt anything in north America. And accuracy is phenomenal.

Re: to trim or not to trim

I agree with LDBennett, but will add that I don't trim all the way down to the trim to length of 1.750, but do trim ALL cases after resizing to 1.755 which is still below SAAMI specs. My reason is...
