I have never gotten one on opening day either. One year during the archery season I couldn't get out for the first two weeks. But on my first evening out I got one.

Thanks. Yep 1 deer buck or doe. The population seems to be climbing so if the Timber Wolves stay away maybe next year we'll have management permits. Which will bring the limit to 2.

Question Muzzle brake

I'm planning to put a muzzle brake on my Remington 7400 in 308 win. Because the rest I have to shoot from mounts to my wheelchair it isn't ridged like a bench rest, so my rifle really rocks back...

I use a Invacare Torque rearwheel drive with the tire upgrade, wider knobby tires. Plenty powerful. But if these knobby tires start spinning you get stuck fast.

I mostly roll the steaks in flour then fry them. Season with salt & pepper, sometimes garlic powder. Whatever you do with beef you can do with venison.

Thanks! I hunt Whitetails. I like the 308. It's very accurate, and has plenty of reach for norther Minnesota. That's why I went with the used 308 over the new 270.
