Make sure you always sight your rifle in with the ammo you are going to hunt with. Different batches, manufacturers and bullet design all affect where you are going to be hitting.

That question came up in a forum up here in Alaska and not one person (to my best recolection!) would use the 12 ga. Everyone mentioned the penetration aspect and would rather have a .338, 45-70 etc.
