I have fired a 30-06 but not a 7mm Rem Mag.
Is the felt recoil about the same but maybe a little sharper?

Looking at the mags again, the 13 rounder has a tiny mark on the back that I can't read and is otherwise unmarked. I will try to find a magnifier and see what the mark is.

Bingo. Mass also has that law. The pistol came with 2 mags. One 13 and 1 ten. I do not see any identification or date info on the 13 round mag.
