Ithica Model 49

I have an Ithaca Model 49, the single shot, lever action, .22 rifle. It misfires more than fires, due to the firing pin hitting just inside the rim, rather than hitting the rim. Is there a fix, or...

Re: Problem opening barrel to eject shells

Not sure if it applies to your gun, but same thing happened on a 16ga I refinished for a friend. Turned out it was chambered for the 2 9/16 shells, rather than 2 3/4. I happened to have 2 1/2 shells...

I just posted mine in "Technical Questions". I didn't think I'd see another one in the forums! Mine seems to be chambered for .22 Long.

Re: Carcano Rifles

After a closer look, the one that has flats does have a weak 6.5, the other, without flats, has nothing marked in front of the rear sight. Year is stamped on barrel, 1944.
