The Aguila SSS round needs a 1:9 rifling twist to stabalize, but when fired from a rifle with that twist, it has penetrated up to 24 inches in ballistic gel.

Out of about 13 years of firing .22LR's, I think I've only had 1 or maybe 2 rounds not fire.

I'd go with the .22LR personally. Little easier to get the ammo for it too, everybody sells the stuff.
