I carry an SA XD 9 sc with 13 rnd small mag and pearce finger ext. I only load it with 10+1 rounds to ease the pressure on the spring. In addition, I have been known to carry some O.C. in my pocket...

My Grandpa has the S&W 28-2 Hwy Patrolman and man is that a sweet gun. I would love to have one myself one day. It shoots very accurately and is as reliable as a tank.

I think it is overkill. Shot placement is a lot more important than caliber. The biggest gun I carried was a Beretta 92FS and I only could open carry it. I now carry the XD 9 SC and that is plenty...

I also have the 9mm SubCompact and it is by far the best gun I have ever bought. It is superior to a Glock in every way. I use the small magazine with it with the Pearce grip extension and I carry it...

I like the fact that unlike the roll crimp option, with the factory crimp die you don't have to cut the pistol cases to length in order to get a proper crimp.

The Lyman manual is excellent. I have the Lee Classic Turret and it is sweet. I would highly recommend spending more and getting it instead of the cheaper lee turret.
