Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
A cheap noise meter and microphone do not do a good job of accurately determining levels from short duration noises like gun shots. A meter/microphone combo needs to have no more than a 20...

Re: The Last Family On Earth
I made it through about five minutes of Survivor before figuring it was not for me.
Anyone who buys the "Mayans predicted the end of the world in 2012" is selling a load of crap.

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
How does that setup affect accuracy? Does adding water or oil to the filter reduce noise like any other can shot wet? What is the life of the filter? Have you been able to shoot it by an...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
Opps, I mis-typed. It would have been better to say transfers instead of buy/sell. Thanks.
The law says;
The law says that the seller pays the tax, but I am told that the dealers normally...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
Federal law states that anyone who makes, buys or sells a silencer has to pay a $200 tax to the US Treasury prior to doing so unless they are licensed to do it as a business (FFL/SOT), transfer to...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
A new wipe would do this. But I would never use a wipe silencer on a firearm that was expected to hit a small target more than 25 yards away. Most people using 22lr and 300 blk rifles want to be...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
I have never read any federal law, rule or regulation that prohibited take apart silencers registered on one tax stamp. As far as I know the BATFE is getting stricter as time goes by, not more...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
When they say it is for multi caliber use, it means in this case the bore is large enough for the 9mm, strong enough for the 300 blackout and can be taken to clean after using with dirty cartridges...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
How is this "they" you are referring to? I do not see a link posted.
I am familiar with people who use various sized mounts to put the same silencer on different caliber firearms. But this is...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
I was aware of the "string is a MG" letter, but had not heard of any change of heart by the BATFE. Too bad the string is still a MG when attached to a semi-auto rifle. :(

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
I have read on other websites that the ATF says wipes are a dispoable part and can be replaced as long as the original ones are destroyed first. It appears that the ATF is saying that a oil filter...

The BATFE says that a silencer part by itself it a silencer. You can not have extra baffles or other parts layng around, nor can you make replacement bafffles for your form 1 silencer unless you pay...

Re: oil filter silencer BATFE registered
I read elsewhere that the oil filter is treated by the BATFE as a wipe in that it can be replaced when shot out. If this is true, then a person can replace the filter when it wears out unlike...

Re: New Infowars Gun Show
More details on the firearms would be nice. I am not impressed with just watching people blow up melons at close range. It is nice to see infowars with a video that is not complete bonkers too.

Re: Which Federal Anti Gun Laws Need to Go 1st?
I think chipping at them a little at a time might work the best.

Title 2 firearms sheriff's signature (heard it might go away soon)
$200 tax on NFA firearms
Sporting exemption...
