Re: Do you reload more in the winter or summer?

It gets damn cold up here ....and boring. So I do 100% of my reloading in the Winter...... Then shoot all Summer without talking the cover off the 550.

Re: How many of you wear gun clothes, caps?

I'm a long time IDPA/USPSA competitor. As such... at every major match you end up with a shirt a hat or both.

I have at 4 drawers full of shooting related shirts in my spare bedroom plus a rack...

Re: Looking for manufacture date for a S & W

The owner doesn't care about selling as it's obviously not worth much. He's more interested in finding the date of manufacturer so he can figure out which relative probably owned it.

The picture I...

Looking for manufacture date for a S & W

An old neighbor asked me give him some help getting information on a very rough S & W break action revolver he has.

It is not in shooting condition. It has a badly pitted and peeling chrome finish...

Re: Is the leagal?

Michigan has a VERY solid castle law--- even when you are not "in the castle". Secondly age has nothing to do with a persons right to defend themselves or others if they are in a place they can...

Re: Opinions sought, Kimber vs Springfield

I have owned both of the pistols you are considering. I traded the Kimber away and have long been sorry I did. It was a fine pistol.

I believe that the Springer is probably a better value and...

Re: Off Topic Pooter Question.

I have a desk top with XP Pro running Goggle Chrome and it's very stable and fast.

My lap top came with Win. 7 and it's also very good. The only problem with Win.7 is that it doesn't support all...

Re: whats your opinion?

I would guess that the number is well below 1% of total gun owners. The NRA says that there are firearms in way over 50% of American homes and I doubt that the number of re-loaders is in the 40-50...

Re: Springfield Trophy match...

I've shot my TM in IDPA & USPSA matches for several years. It's been very accurate and 100% reliable.

I liked the fact that it came with a quality trigger right out of the box and lots of little...

Re: I Collect And Shoot 22 Revolvers! Here are My Favorites So Far

If you can pick up a S & W model 63 you'll love it.

Target sights, light weight and stainless.

Too bad they aren't made any more.

Re: new concealed carry gun

I don't think the Kahr PM-9 can be beat as a hideout gun with enough power to serve as a daily carry gun.

I put night sights on mine and had the grip stippled for a rougher grip and think it's a...

Re: The Cost of Gas

I think the real trouble started when the enviro-nuts talked Jimmy Carter out of drilling in Alaska.

By now we'd be oil independent.

Re: Carry permits/licenses from multiple states?

IMO---The only "tight" sources are the www sites of the State police or attorney general of the state where you wish to carry.

Glancing at a map which indicates your license "may" be good in...

Re: Carry permits/licenses from multiple states?

Sorry-- But it seems that you may be confusing what is on the web ---with reality.

My only message was ---- To be VERY clear about the state laws where you carry.

B T W-- I have had a CCW/CPL ...

Re: Carry permits/licenses from multiple states?

I'm a handgun instructor in MI and want to add a couple comments.

1. Almost no state honors a permit issued to you unless it's your home state. For example ---an IL person can get a Utah...
