Re: Florida poll on open carry

Thanks for posting this. I added my vote, and passed it along via Twitter and Facebook.

Rock the vote, right?

Re: Odd revolver

I got to play with the prototypes at the 2010 SHOT Show. They were heavy with a heavy trigger, but were definitely interesting.

I recently saw a video (it's probably on YouTube) of a guy firing...

Re: Glock 22

I carried one of those Gen 3 G22's for several years at a PD in Georgia. They were darn reliable and I had few complaints about them. I guess the only thing I don't like about them is the finger...

Re: I guess I like 3" Wheel guns

3" wheel guns have always been a sweet spot for me. Congrats on the new Ruger. That is a nice gun, and a nice shooter if it is anything like the ones I have shot in the past.

Re: Range Report - S&W 629 3" barrel Deluxe Talo Edition

That is a beautiful gun. I've always been partial to S&W wheelguns (more than a few in my safe), and the big bores are a blast to carry and shoot. The older I get the more I believe the .44 is...

Re: The cost of a self-defense gun

Agreed. As others have said, you can get a really good handgun for less than $1000, which would mean more $$$ for ammo and range time. Buying one good gun, and spending your time and money on...

Re: frist hand gun?

A handgun is a tool like any other, so I humbly suggest you identify what job you need done before deciding on the tool to buy. For example, a gun for shooting and having fun with is not always the...

Re: Knox Compstock For Mossy 500

I've had a chance to shoot the Knoxx stocks extensively, and they are quality items. Very good at recoil reduction, and well built. That said, you obviously got a bad one.

Call Blackhawk! who...

Re: Glock 17 Help

As the others have said, it is a Gen 3 Glock with the optional RTF2 finish. The only differences between it and the 'regular' third gen G17 is the scalloped serrations on the slide, and the...

Re: First handgun

As some of the others have said, the .44 Mag is a great choice for carrying into the field. .44 Special cartridges can be bought or handloaded to be very easy shooters for learning the gun, and then...

Re: Shirt Pattern Concealment

For me, dark colors (black, navy blue, etc.) work the best. Some type of pattern is helpful, but I found that the pattern doesn't have to be obvious. I've got several polos that have a more visible...

Re: New Taurus Slim-line

I had a chance to shoot the 740 (.40 S&W version) earlier this week. It was reliable with everything, and reasonably accurate. Although manageable, the recoil was stronger than the 709.

Re: What's your favorite .22 rifle ??

My vote would be for the Marlin 60. I learned how to shoot with it and it would be the last .22 I ever parted with.
