ditto SGVictor. Have two HD Militaries and two B's. Never had the hammer issue on teh HD's and have 'snapped' them with slide off. Of course, I have removed the slide w/o capturing the FP spring...

Range Report - Mini-14 follow-up

Found a decent steel tube Weaver K-4 (like the old Weaver scopes) in a local shop and put it on the Mini-14. With factory PMC the Mini did just under 3" at 50yds. With some old varmint (circa 1980)...

Mine is the first issue. Brown Zytel w/black-blue metal. Loads through the butt so you need to count or guess good. Just never fails even on subsonic ammo.

Sure will. Putting a Leupold 1.2-5 on it to start and will probably stay with a scope rather than a dot. I would not normally go for a gun with a short bbl, but .... Will try some factory stuff...

Don't rub in the CA thing. We are lucky they do not outlaw all 'black' guns ... or in the case of the Rem, green-camo.
