Hello,

It is surely a misprint but it is also not a "B". If so then the numeric serial number would be 10345 and correspond to production during 1876 when the Model 1873 was only being produced...

The lever has been ground down a bit so that it can engage the latch. Not sure why someone would do that when it is easy enoughto just turn the latch so that the lever can be secured. ...

Actually the Model 1892 used the exact same calibers and cartridges as the earlier Model 1873. With exception that it also was chambered for the .25-20 WCF whereas the 1873 was not.
