Re: 1911s Suck???
I'd never heard of Mr Yeager before today and haven't missed anything. I trust any of my 1911 pistols more than I trust his opinion. He probably doesn't care any more of my opinion than I do of his....

Re: Why Not Colt?
I've got 1911s from Colt, Wilson, Kimber and Springfield. Each of them has worked fine out of the box, using any FMJ or HP round I've put in them.

Re: Buying my first 1911
I've never had a probloem with my Kimber or any of several Springfields. I'm more comfortable with SA as they have excellent customer service.

Re: .45 ACP +P ammo
I haven't seen the need to use +P in my .45ACP pistols. My 442 is the only pistol I prefer to use a +P round.

Re: ruger 10/22?
I got my first 10/22 around 1978-79. The only probelm I've had was cheap aftermarket magazines.

Re: 1911 on full cock?
The 1911 was designed to be carried Condition 1. If mine has a magazine inserted, it's cocked and locked.

Re: mini 14
I've had a mini 14 6.8spc for several years. I have no plan to ever sell it, but my SA M1A gets more range time.

Re: anyone have a springfield 1911?
My first SA pistol was a Loaded target model. It was soon followed by TRP, EMP and Professional models. Each has performed in an excellent manner, trouble-free and accurate.

Re: thinking about joining the 1911 crowd
Colt, Springfield, Kimber, Ruger make good pistols and have good customer service should it be needed. As the 1911 is addictive, you're probably have several of these in the future.:D

Re: I've Never Seen the Wall ...
100% of those I served with were educated volunteers who chose to enlist into the service. Most of those I trained with in Basic Training had atleast a High School education and some had college...

Re: Which one should I get?
The lifetime warranty and excellent customer service from Springfield Armory are the reasons most of the pistols in my safe are from SA.
