I used M-14 for basic at Fort Jackson may of 68. Then M-16 for AIT 11B at Fort Poke Aug 68, Overseas I used M-16 and 12gauge Nov. 68

I carry a Taurus PT24/7 PRO C DS in .40 that has around 1500 rounds run through it, and it eats whatever I put in it, never a problem. A little heavy with 15 round mag.

I have a Taurus 24/7 Compact and have had no problems after 1500 or so rounds run through it.
