This sounds interesting - I can't seem to find it on our local (eastern wisconsin) pbs listing. They are running a fund raising auction, that's about all that's on. Do you know the actual name of...

Beer get "skunky" when it's exposed to light. Even in brown bottles that can happen. That's why it was sold for years in cases with folding flaps. Now they display it on shelves under bright lights -...

No, I didn't sign up for paperless. Catfish - that sounds like that could be the same thing that is happening to me. I don't remember the notice, but it was probably there.

Re: Navy Arms Co 1858 New Army
Mine also has XV111 - The Roman numeral must have some other significance.
I bought it at the Gold Rush Gun Shop in San Fransico in 1967. I wonder if that shop is still there.

Re: Navy Arms Co 1858 New Army
I also have a Navy Arms Remington - serial number 1650 - if General Patton's was made in 1962, mine would be 1960 or so? Mine has the "G U" script on the bottom of the barrel.

I sure remember the ads for the Fanner 50, I wanted one real bad. Now I have a brother in law who collects antique toys, and he gave me one. Somehow it didn't seem as great as I remembered.

I had quite a bit and sold it - the price is high now. It might go higher or it might drop.
I think it's the time to sell, not buy - but that's just my opinion. It really is gambling.
