Re: CZ 452 FS .22lr (Mannlicher)

I have a CZ 452 silhouette which I got second hand ($290) after having read countless rave reviews from CZ owners.

I put a 3-9 Nikon Buckmaster scope on it, and installed a trigger kit from Eric...

Re: My girlfriend wants a 9mm

My 64 year old wife (115 lbs) has a SIG P239 in 9mm. It's sleek, graceful and deadly accurate, the perfect carry gun for her. Plus, it's easy enough to shoot that she practices a lot with it (she...

Re: Sig P239 Takedown Issue

Okay, I've looked a little more closely at what happens when we field strip our two (both P239 and P6). I think your diagnosis is spot on.

We can see that rotating the takedown lever down does...

Re: Sig P239 Takedown Issue

I, for one, can't account for this. But what I can tell you is this.

My wife has a P239 in 9mm, and it falls to me to clean it, which I am pleased to do. I myself have a P6, which, in terms of...

Re: .22 Rifle Questions, Need Help

If I were ever to think about selling it, I'd certainly let you know, and it wouldn't cost you much. I'd want it, like all my other gun-ly prizes, to be in the care of someone who would treasure it....

Re: .22 Rifle Questions, Need Help

Forced, no, inclined you, yes.[/QUOTE]

Actually, I was "forced", not forced. :)

I agree, too that old rifles can be supremely accurate. I have a lovely old German (or Austrian?) Haenel...

Re: .22 Rifle Questions, Need Help

That's true. The most accurate .22 I've ever seen (or hope to) was a tricked-out Anschütz with a 24x tricked-out scope.

I can confirm the following: 11 shots to dispatch 10 thumbtacks at 100...

Re: Sig Sauer

I got my wife a P-239 in 9mm (http://www.sigsauer.com/Products/ShowCatalogProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=9&productid=71), and she loves it (named it "Ziva" after the NCIS character played by Cote de...

Re: .22 Rifle Questions, Need Help

Well, by it's very nature, wood CAN warp, so one can never prove a given piece won't (except, maybe, in the case of laminated stocks). And warping could degrade accuracy.

But if a stock's...

Re: .22 Rifle Questions, Need Help

If you want a tack driver, may I suggest one of the CZ 452 models (http://www.cz-usa.com/products_rimfire_rifles.php)? (Street price would be substantially less than what CZ lists.)

If you're at...

Re: My new CZ Trainer.....

I bought a CZ 452 Silhouette (http://www.cz-usa.com/product_detail.php?id=7) a couple of years ago which, as far as I can tell, is basically the garden variety 452 barreled action in a plastic stock....
