Re: Need help IDing a .22 rifle

I assume someone ground/polished off all of the writing on the barrel? Otherwise Mossberg and the model will clearly be identified. Looking at the pics again, I do not believe it is a Mossberg.

Re: Iver Johnson Hercules Grade 12 gauge side by side

Your Iver Johnson was finished and assembled by the Cooey Firearms Company in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada. Cooey had an arrangement with Iver Johnson from about 1932 to at least 1939 to finish guns for...

Re: Mossberg Model 142-A

Previous posts are from 2003. Prices on old Mossberg .22's , sights and scopes have gun up since then. The peep sight often brings $100.00 on ebay these days and same for the scopes with mounts.

Re: Vintage Mossberg and Sons 152K .22 LR Rifle. Help needed!

For the condition it is in it is about a $100.00 gun where I am. It would bring up to $150.00 if in better condition. If it was the 152 with the peep sight, it would bring more.

The more you tamper with it, the less it will be worth. I would leave it unless the stock is really damaged. If it is just that the original finish has wear, leave it. Can you post a pic?
