Re: Start up reloading equipment advice
You need manuals.
Ditch the Deluxe press and go with the Classic cast Turret
Wrong primers for 380
Wrong powder for 380
You won't need the case lube, the dies will be carbide

Re: pointy 30-30 loads
Oh thank goodness, I thought it was me. The Hornadys do shoot a lot flatter than the Rem 150 gr Core-Lokts, that's for sure.

Yup. Been in your shoes and probably about to go there again.
Put the AR together and let her play with it. All will be forgiven.

Re: AR build question
You have have to decide what style you want.
Me, I like the M4 look. 16 inch barrel with a carry handle. I like the carry handle because you can still mount optics on it (don't look right, but)...

Re: Class II or Class III for bike rack?
I'm a heavy duty kind of person, I'd go with the additional Class III. I've seen a lot of "snow birds" bicycles laying in the road, mangled from being run over after breaking off the hitches on their...

Re: Considering ankle carry
Blackhawk makes one that straps around your leg with velcro just above your ankle and has something like a sock garder to keep it from sliding down. I use one for my derringer back up.

Re: What kind of scale do you use?
What type of set-up are you using? You may be fine with a beam scale to set your powder measure, if that's how you'rr charging, and then use it to check every 10th throw or so.

Not really sure. It had taken a fall and broke the tip off of the beam. I sent it in and they replaced the beam and said that they checked the calibration. It's almost like the bearing blocks are to...

Re: What kind of scale do you use?
It all depends on what I am doing. I have a RCBS 5-0-5 (which the beam hangs up on), a Pact BBK II (that never runs on batteries) and a RCBS ChargeMaster combo.

While this method does work, if you're not careful, you'll gouge the bullet and brass.

Re: Rifle cartridge C.O.L
It should be. I would make up some dummy rounds first to be sure they fit your magazine and chamber. Then check them to be sure you see no rifling marks on the bullet and that they eject with the...
