it does have a arlington ordinace import mark. so it may not even be a usgi number like you say.

Aguila is making a limited run of 22 win auto for the 1903 winchester. I have found it for $19 a box on Lucky Gunner as the cheapest. it's msrp is $25 for a box of 50.

It is black powder so it can be mailed directly to someones door. If you have trouble selling it, I would be interested in the $200 to $225 range with the holster.

I was thinking nickle over brass because the unfinished areas in unseen places look cast. still a sweet gun. I generally shoot my steal framed ones the most anyway and may not shoot this one at...

I usually use 25 grains of 3f on my brass frame open tops. That would be ok on this wouldn't it?

got this for $260. Those that don't shoot black powder probably think its a waste of money. but I thought it was a decent buy for a fully engraved 1858 in like new condition. the wife loves it too.

got them loaded up the last 10 or so get a little hard to put in, not bad. The mags were a little tight, just worked in and out about 3 times and that took care of it. they are polymer.

After test firing, I believe I will make it every day carry with a couple of back up mags. It only holds 5+1, but it is so dang accurate I shouldn't need to many rounds anyway.
