It doesn't have the text "Remington 870 Express Magnum" engraved on the reciever as the 20 gauge did, it just says "Remington 870". Does that mean this one can't take 3 inch...

Anyway, the reason I think I could barely tell a difference in the 20 and 12 gauges i shot last saturday (they felt very similar to me, just 12 gauge had more muzzle...

Well I fired about 20 rounds, and they were 3 inch magnums, through a recoil operated semi automatic 12 gauge. I wasn't a bit sore.
