Selling to individuals is the best route.
Most scrap yards have minimum requirements and they also require it to be deprimed as well most of the time.

Actually the pressures in a .45 are lower than the 9mm and .40 you mentioned so the system takes more of a beating with the "medium" calibers you mentioned.
