Many questions arise.. Have either your father or brother hunted elk before. If so take their advice, if not study up on where and what you will be hunting. Altitude can affect how you feel...

I do not anymore. I gave it to a good friend but still reload for him. My favorite bullet is the nosler 140 partition. It works well on deer and elk. I shot a moose ( cow ) at 63 yards with it years...

Born and raised in Montana. Hunted elk all my life. Have shot and killed them with 100 grain bullet from a 243, do not recommend it as a primary elk rifle. 30-06 is plenty but bullet and shot...

It is absolutely absurd to think that OSHA would require a taller bannister. It is much more believable that they will now require safety nets be installed to prevent falls.

Worked as a welder in a lead smelter for 25 years. Lead is a very dangerous element. Sure would be a shame if them yotes contracted a case of high speed lead poisoning. S.S.S.

The 280 remington started out as the 7mm express. Name was changed to 280 to avoid mixing it up with the 7mm remington magnum. It is a very good cartridge in its own right. I wish I had never sold...
