I, too, have a model 98 Yugo with high turret scope mounts and an original
Zrak scope. shoots well at the 100 yard line. surprised the scope works so well but I think only 4 power, but thats enough....

to my knowledge ALL military 1911 and 1911A1 were assigned serial numbers. check a WW1 1911 and you will find a serial number and thats pre-1924
