The 8045 is next on my list. I have heard only good things about this entire series of guns. I have some experience with Stoeger customer service (on a shotgun) and found them to be very responsive.

Would recommend at least a .380 and personally carry the Ruger LCP.

Regardless of what you end up with, be sure you either have laser sights or some type of glow-in-the-dark sights.
