thanks everyone....am waiting to hear from another gunsmith to see what he has laying around in barrels and hopefully it can be saved...i am going to look closer at the "crack" area in the 7 oclock...

well heres my latest update....the transfer bar cannot be bought from midway or brownells for the older three screw 22s....at least that's what the gentlemen from ruger said.....I have one on its way...

hello gunboat,

no an empty case doesn't chamber either....As far as setting it back......i got the same quote to set the barrel back (with no guarantees it will work) and to replace the barrel...

repeater, yes that is the gun but mine isn't stainless and isn't new...

helix FR, it is the plate in front of the hammer and behind the firing pin...it broke at the bottom and fell out....now...

tried that...doesn't shoot 22 shorts....as it should....lr and shorts....help...and btw....it broke...and fell out, not just fell out...

i am looking at a finish reamer that is advertised as a 30-06 finish reamer for a winchester??? would this be okay to use for any 30-06...like for say a springfiled 1903a3??? thanks

Here is what it looks like...it is proud to the rest of the chamber....meaning that there does not look to be a low spot...so i was thinking it could be finish reamed til it just touches the original...

yeah im aware...mine was a kidney bottom shovel top punched to 90 cubic inch. kick only four speed left side drive on a 64 frame. mostly s&s innerds.
