i have used wolf primers for a long time with no problems at all. they seem to be like the winchester primers i use also, and the wolf 22 match grade ammo shoots through the same hole at 100yds....

mainspring, petahw is right on with your problem, that is what i was trying to explain about the hammer strut but did it poorly. do like he said and get the hammer to fall forward and the strut will...

neilin, your load sounds ok but the magnum primers will up the pressure, you should use regular small primers with this load.
as far as loading 357mag to 38spl specs, i don't think this would be...

mainspring, i have never owned a mark I, so im not sure of your question.
i just make sure weapon is unloaded, pull trigger, release mainspring housing latch, pull mainspring housing out and use it...

hey mainspring, you may have to point the barrel up(sights toward you) and bring the barrel on over to let the hammer strut come from behind its pin.

when a primer problem happens with mine i just run it back through the sizing die and try again, never had a problem depriming a live primer.
