#83 rear buffer stop nut push it in and turn it 1/4 turn that will lock it in the buffer tube and keep it from popping out. Just a guess at what you might be asking.

What am I missing the lower has the caliber markings and everything takes place (firing wise) in the upper. So if you exchange uppers and lowers where does that leave you with this .223/5.56 issue?...
