Re: Don't buy a S&W 22A

Order a good supply of recoil buffers, they mash up fast and need changing often.

Re: Remington 597 owners

Good to see others have it ... but the price is a bit high.

Re: Remington 597 owners

They've been talking about them for a few weeks over at RFC.
As far as I know you can only get them from Remington.
If a local dealer says they have them check two things:
1. a deeper baseplate...

Re: Remington 597 owners

Maybe double stack was the wrong term ... how about staggered stack?
In the picture below I have 2 rounds in the new mag, you can see the first round is "staggered" off to the side.
In the old...

Thumbs up Remington 597 owners

Remington has a newly designed magazine for the 597 lr.
Anyone who has a 597 knows the magazine is trash, the double stacking design caused feeding problems due to the double stack "overlap" of each...

Re: Remington 597 22LR

I tricked mine out with a Jarvis Custom hammer, barrel and stock ... it will out shoot any tricked out 10/22.
When I get the newly designed magazines, any problems I had should be solved.

Re: New Ruger mark 11 Mk512 jams constantly

I found with mine it has to be taken down, the bolt and reciever cleaned and greased OFTEN otherwise it will jam like crazy.
Only give the bolt a light coat of grease 'cause it will turn to crud...

Re: Aftermarket reminton 597 magazines

I read on another board that Remington has come out with a new mag for the 597.
It's a bit longer and thinner with a heavier spring.

I haven't been here in a while, is this something new?
Everytime I sign on or open a new page my firewall pops the alert "the page you are opening contains Active X".

Re: September Contest

I believe all shots MUST be in the WHITE. If you touch the black of any target, that target is null and void.
Five shots, in the white, for five consecutive targets.

Re: keppler's July contest

Most of NJ is under water (maybe it will get cleaned up a bit) ...
No range for at least 5 days because of rain.
This summer is a bummer.

Re: Monthly Contest ??

I converted it to a .pdf file, it's 284kb if that will help let me know where to send or upload it. I can do that for any of the targets. This way you know they'll all print the same size.

Re: Monthly Contest ??

I don't know, thats why I shoot ... to have fun.
I'm very flexable with the rules and use novelty targets ... but I guess if you cant turn in a high score people dont want anyone to know about it....

Re: Monthly Contest ??

I hope you have more luck than I'm having at RimfireShooters, only about 6-7 people entered. Seems like people are too embarassed to post low scores ... oh well, maybe it will pick up for this month....
