Re: Para 1911's

if your looking at Springfield, pick up the Mil-Spec over the GI version. It's a few dollars more but well worth the extra

I have a Ex-LEO S&W 4006 and it shoots and feels really nice, can't beat them for the prices. You could probably pick one up close to $300, less a lot of places.

The one I have had very little...

Re: Mosin Nagant M-44 - just bought one...

R&Rarms has some pretty cheap surplus ammo, as well as cheaperthandirt.

I love my M44, it works especially well when dirtbags with cheap ear protection shooting AR type junk are flinging brass...

Re: Gun Safe, What qualities to look for?

Re: S&W M&P 9 C & 40 C

I'd make sure I'd have fired 100 more rounds without a feed failure before using it as a carry.

I would polish the ramp if I saw it scratched. I like to use chrome polish and a lint free cloth by...

Re: Taurus PT111 Millenium

How many rounds have you fired through it. I own a PT 745 Mill Pro, and have close to 500 rounds through it with no problems. I've heard that the earlier models had problems like this and that...

I have one as well that I carry CC daily, I carry in a Don Hume, IWB leather, yes, finding a holster is a bitch, waited 8 weeks for mine, but was worth the wait.

Re: concealed carry

Sorry, but I'm not a fan of "small" guns. My CC is a Ruger KP345. It conceals well with a IWB holster on the right side. I shoot Hornaday +P, 230-Grain JHP,@ 950 fps The grip length of my 345 is...

Re: Opinions - Taurus Millennium PT 111/140/145 Series

I have a PT745 Mill Pro and have had no problems with it. Carried it for a year or so, probably 7-800 rounds through it. Only issue I've had is front sight dirties quickly when shooting

Re: IDPA Gun?

I agree with TS.

I have a XD 9mm because I use a XD .45 for IDPA, if you shoot a 1911 in IDPA, try to find a very similar 9mm in a 1911 style

Re: Springfield XD Compact 45 ACP

They are like neither,

I have a XD 45 compact Tactical and a XD 9 Tactical. I love them both, they always work, rarely a problem with either. Unless you are wanting to CC with one I'd stay away...
