jim it did work. i just drilled a hole for shaft then had to finish the slot w/ dremmel. i had to place it so it would rebound correctly, but once i knew how it was supposed to work, it was easy....

silver solder is needed due to high pressures. if hole is small, you can just cover it w/ solder, big and you will have to cut and add coupling. freon is deadly when burnt by torch so be careful....

it looks like barrel may have threads in the very end of it. if it does or is minus rifling in barrel it is almost certainly a starter, teargas, flare gun. either way, i still would stress no matter...

caliber is probably .32 cal. there were 15 models listed as .32 cal rifles. 75-100 in poor to 400-500 in excelent. 25 21 (or 2e 21) is model #.
