Oil and grease contamination can...

Re: Remington Model 81 jam.
What happens if there is no cartridge and you let the bolt go forward? Does the gun still fail to lock up.
I do know a gunsmith in the pensacola area that can fix what ever is wrong with that...

Re: Monarch x39 ammo-corrosive?
Mercury fulminate is not used in any military small arms ammunition. Corrosive ammunition residue contains potassium chloride and related compounds that will quickly rust bare steel. They are...

Re: cz-52 any good?
For me it is the opposite, the CZ-52 slaps the heck out of my trigger finger. The pins tend to walk about also on these guns. For shooting I would choose the Tokarev and from a point of design both...

Re: Velocity question for an engineer
I recall seeing a "true" police type program once where someone fired a ruger .44 pistol at about a 30 degree angle and at 700 yards fatally hit someone in a lawn chair. The part that caught my...

I know a gunsmith that has had a lot amount of experience with this sort of thing. Some he has restored and others he will not try.
Very hot fires can actualy destroy the steel, not just soften...

I assume they were of the highest quality. One of their lower priced models that I got my hands on from a sandbag and factory fixed sights shoots into less than an inch at 25 yards and I assume with...

Converting mossbergs to 10-22 magazine
Ruger 10-22 are highly reliable in part due to the excellent design of their magazines. My Ruger 10-22 carbine is reliable, but inaccurate.
I have several somewhat accurate mossbergs, but they...

Re: M1 Carbine - Why the dislike?
I seem to remember that there was either a .32 or .30 cartridge that was chambered in some of the early winchester autorifles. It was rimless and straight walled. I do not know what the load was. ...

Re: Replacing 7.62 barrel with 7x57...
My two cents on this.
The cheapest solution is to reload to lower velocities, say a 150 grain bullet at 2400 ft per second. I doubt very much that these 93 actions have been reheat treated. You...

Is it necessary to use a mount that requires drilling and tapping...
