always, just to be sure no screw ups with QC at the factory. i also spot check OAL, because too often new brass is at the top end of the range or slightly over.

NP brass in five rifles and 5 handguns, have reloade some 38SPCL s more than 10 times with no problems. 280 Remington some have 7 or 8 reloads, no signs of failure or cracking.

totally agree with GVW3 - 20ga, short 20" barrel, use #4 to 1B, and as I was once advised by a LEO, "It's much better if there is only one person to tell me happened."

depending on where you live, sometimes craigs list in sporting, and search 'reloading' will get you to locals who have brass/reloading supplies for sale.

For bullets try Berry's, Precision Bullets, Power Bond, and TNT. Best loads for XD45 and several 1911's is 5.0 gr Bullseye. Should chrony about 750 to 815, depending on barrel length, etc.

try Berry's, Power Bond, or Precision Bullets. Berry's and Power Bond are plated, and Precision are moly-bonded. have had great results with the Berry's and my XD45 loves the Precision 230gr RN.
