Yeah I hear ya a model 94 is a good bush gun though. As for cal. I think a .308 will do (7mm-08 is a good round I just prefer the ole 308)...... if you want even less recoil a .243 win is the ticket...

As far as cal. goes I always thought .22 and down was "small" greater than .22 was "large" bore. (not including the .22 family such as 22-250 etc. all "small") Now guage I have no clue!!
