Re: lee auto disc accuracy concern

I've got 3 auto disc powder measures. They are setup on the powder through dies for my pistol calibers. I just dump the powder in and start loading. Mine are all very consistent. I run Bullseye...

Re: What gun should I get for concealed carry?

I'm in Il and as of right now my two carry guns will be a S&W 642 for a small 5 shot .38+P and a S&W M&P 9c. Not at the same time but more depending on the weather will determine which gun I carry. ...

Re: Selecting a scale

I burnt out the Hornady digital and went to buy a RCBS 10-10. I will now never need another scale.

You can get the 5-10 new for around $75 if you shop around. I don't like used reloading...

Re: Brass Question

It is a crimp for bullet retention. Just resize and reload. They will be fine. I have some .38 with the same thing.

Re: Start up reloading equipment advice

Trim after polishing and resizing/primer removal. The brass will change length when resized. I've been told that the tolerance is -.010". Trimming to the low end might save you from trimming...

Re: Start up reloading equipment advice

I'd skip the digital scale and buy a RCBS beam scale. Get a reloading manual and choose another powder. Make sure you buy small pistol primers.

Re: To those of you who weigh every charge

I weigh the first five charges and then I will load 50-100 cases into reloading trays. When that is done I look in each case with a flashlight to check level. After that I randomly pull 5 cases and...

Re: What kind of scale do you use?

I have a RCBS 10-10 but it is over $100. I really don't have another recommendation. I had a Hornady digital but it was crap and would not zero before it went through the first set of batteries.

Re: How often do you re-check powder drops in a progressive?

I don't run a progressive. I run powder through dies for pistol. I check my first 10 and then run 50 through in a reloading tray. I go through and measure 5 random cases and visual the entire tray.

Re: What is a fair trade / price for brass?

Maybe 100 reloads per 500 once fired brass. In today's market probably half that for factory. I can get 500 for $20 at my LGS regularly.

Re: 45 ACP - share your loads

I don't reload 230gr but instead 185gr SWC. 5.3gr Bullseye.

Really reduces the recoil in my SA Loaded.

.45LC or .357

What die set are you using? I like the Hornady seater die. It has an alignment sleeve that helps with these issues. I would run the crimp a little heavier.
